It fascinates me that the body is ever resilient so that it might move through transformations endlessly. I would say the areas my practice truly shines in are:

1. Burnout as a result of stress, mental health struggles and neurodivergentness - many of my patients find themselves dozing off From time to time with massage techniques used to help regulate an overactive nervous system. If you find yourself having trouble falling asleep, jumping at the slightest noise, with headaches from being on a screen all day, drinking too much coffee and a deadline looming over your head or running out of spoons just because you had to be around way too many people in a noisy space while also figuring out how to feed yourself today, You have come to the right space.

2. Perinatal - I am amazed at just how strong people growing life are. It joys me to give support to those expecting and cheer them on along the way. Pregnancy as well as postpartum have different concerns to address. That might be a sore and tired low back, swollen ankles, cesarean scar healing, bladder incontinence post prgnancy or just a sore neck and shoulders from lack of sleep and nursing a small human in awkward positions while co-sleeping with all of the pets.

3. Breast /chest surgery healing and scarwork. It has been an honour to watch the joyful transformation of bodies throughout the healing process of breast surgery, masectomy and  gender affirming chest surgeries. The time leading up this I can offer support in nervous system regulation to prepare the body for healing. After surgery modalities involving scar and facial work aide in visual appearance of scars. Any fascial restrictions that may occur post surgery can be adressed with massage therapy for the purpose of Increasing or maintaining range of motion of the limbs, spine and hips or providing relief in achy and tired bodies that have been resting in bed for weeks. I enjoy being a cheerleader and a point of recorded progress of healing.
